Bobby Jindal was born on June 10,1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His real birth name is Piyush Jindal. Raj Jindal which is Bobby's father is a civil engineer and a graduate of Guru Nanak Dev University and also Punjab University. Amar Jindal his mother is a graduate of Rajasthan University and she has also worked in nuclear physics at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India.
He attended Baton Rouge Magnet High School and graduated in 1988 at the top of his class. After that he went on to Brown University and graduated in 1991 at the age of 20 in two different majors which are biology and public policy. He was also one of the 50 students nationwide admitted to the Program in Liberal Medical Education ( PLME). Then later on he went on and studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
He began his career in politics through the Foster Administration in 1996 at the age of 24 and then was appointed executive director of the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare in that same year he received the Samuel S. Beard Award. Later on he ran for governor in Louisiana in 2003 but he lost the election so he went on to run for the 1st Congressional District in the House of Representatives from 2004-2006. In 2008 in ran for governor of Louisiana again and he won with 54% of the votes and has served 2 terms as the governor of Louisiana.
His political position for abortion is a yes but it depends on the circumstance of the person and for stem cell research is an astounding no. Also on the stand of same-sex marriage was a no because he believes in a very traditional type of family home and that type of decision should be left to the states. On the stand for gun rights and gun control was a yes but he has certain rules for that such as having a stricter background check on the person. More importantly is his stand for education which is that he wants to cut higher education funding and is in favor of the common core state standards.
